Mixed-Use Hotel and Retail
Herndon, VA
The center of the town of Herndon, VA is designated as a Heritage Preservation District, and this proposed project for a 150-room hotel with 15,000 sf of retail and two-levels of underground parking honors the spirit of the District which dates back to the late 1800s when Herndon was a depot for dairy farmers who loaded trains with milk bound for Washington, DC. The hotel would be branded as an Element by Westin and is designed with Element’s signature entrance. Otherwise, the facades of the hotel and retail shops are broken down into subdivisions reminiscent of small scale buildings from the late 1800s and early 1900s.
